Softchoice Corp. Bulks up by Acquisition

Toronto-based Softchoice Corp., a major Microsoft large account reseller, has grown even larger thanks to a recent three-month buying spree. Softchoice, a Gold Certified Partner with $511 million in revenues for the first nine months of its current fiscal year, snapped up three companies with combined total revenues of about $532 million:

Company Date Acquired Sale Price Trailing 12-Month Revenues
Optimus Solutions LLC Jan. 3, 2008 $31.8 million $140 million
Software Plus Inc. Dec. 11, 2007 $45 million $192 million
NexInnovations Inc. Oct. 12, 2007 $10 million $200 million

The acquisition streak -- which the company says is over for now --helped boost Softchoice's payroll from 500 to 800 people.
