Two New Ways to Shine

Microsoft partners will soon be able to demonstrate their skills in two new competencies:

Hosting Solutions: Originally a specialization within Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, hosting will become a full-fledged competency in its own right. It will target partners with expertise in creating hosting solutions based on Microsoft technologies.

Business Intelligence Solutions: This new competency, previously part of Information Worker Solutions, is aimed at partners with expertise in designing and deploying BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Microsoft officials say that the two new competencies will become available sometime during Microsoft's fiscal year 2008, which began July 1. When activated, the new offerings will boost the total number of partner competencies to 15. At press time, the company hadn't yet unveiled either the benefits or the requirements for either offering.
